Tai via Zoom at Naic, Cavite and Regional Manager Engr. Clemente A. Dayot, District Managers Atty. Alper John G. Alcaraz and Engr. Sonia J. Bulseco at Brgy. Lasang, Davao City.

The 100 Ata-Manobo at Sitio Talos are one of the beneficiaries of the housing project in Davao Region under the NHAโ€™s Housing Assistance Program for Indigenous Peoples (HAPIP) worth Php 20 million pesos. Also, the LGU Santo Tomas has allotted and Php 2 million pesos as a counterpart for the housing project located at Purok 8, Barangay San Jose, Santo Tomas, Davao del Norte.

Said project named โ€˜BALAI KAROYAWAN NO BAKALAGโ€™ which means โ€˜A Beautiful Houseโ€™ was formally turned-over last November 29, 2022 (Tuesday) by RM Engr. Dayot duly represented by Engr. Ariel G. Puyos, Acting Division Manager A to Mayor Roland S. Dejesica and accepted by Datu Doming Tumaytay, represented by Datu Pepito Tumaytay.

Mayor Dejesica challenged the Ata-Manobo beneficiaries to take care their homes as they take good care for their future.

Furthermore, he concluded his message by giving an emphasis to the improvement of the water system at Sitio Talos as the next project for the community.

Datu Pepito and the entire Ata-Manobo Community, meanwhile, expressed their sincere gratitude and their commitment to cherish and care for their lovely homes, and they accepted the challenge wholeheartedly.
